John Varineau, Grand Rapids Symphony conductor

You probably noticed this picture in the front page rotator.  I've had the enormous privledge of performing with my hometown orchestra the Grand Rapids Symphony.   Nothing has given me so much pleasure (well, there are other things...) than to put a pie in my good friend and conductor's face in this tribute to Spike Jones in the Big Band Blast.   Thanks to John Varineau for being such a great sport and wearing pie on the back of his pants after the bit.

Blow Brandon, Blow

I've had the opportunity to play music with both my kids, Ross and Brandon.  Here's Brandon in a promo picture for a tour scaring the heck out of me.  He plays LOUD.

Patrick Sheridan

Pat and I have toured around the country.  He makes playing the tuba look really easy and has created quite an audience with his incredible skills.   Don't ever go beer drinking with Pat unless you have trained extensively.

Ridenours and Nagels (U of M)

My biggest influences, mentors, counselors, supporters, friends, well you get the point.

Parents Dick and Lorraine on left and teachers Julie and Louis Nagel on right.  Go Blue.

Photo was taken at Meadowbrook before playing with the Detroit Symphony.

Mr. Smily

You'd never guess who this is but he still is taken by red wagons.
